Fokker 100
Well, I am a Dutchman, so Fokker aircraft are high on the list of my favourites. The largest Fokker airliner ever built was the Fokker 100, which was developed from the F28 Fellowship. Although the Fokker 100 looks much like the Douglas DC-9 and the BAC One-Eleven, I prefer the appearance of the Fokker jet from an esthetical point of view.
Of course I very much regret the collapse of Fokker in 1996. After a dark period there seemed some light at the end of the tunnel. Especially the sales prospects of the Fokker 70 looked very bright, but the Dutch government didn't want to take the risk of more losses and stopped supporting the manufacturer. Luckily Fokker aircraft still fly everywhere in the world, now and for many years to come!
