Aero Favourites!

This is a very personal website about my personal favourite aircraft types. I have been taking pictures of aircraft for more than 25 years. Sometimes people ask: what is your favourite aircraft. Some time ago, when looking through my photos and slides, I decided to make a toplist, a personal toplist of what my favourite aircraft are. I began with a Top Seven, then a Top Ten and it ended as a Top Twelve.

As you can see all the aircraft on the list are transport aircraft. These are my real favourites. Because there are many more beautiful and impressive aircraft in the world than just twelve, I have added a list of the numbers 13-25, the 'Runners-up'. This list also includes aircraft like the SR-71 and the F-14 Tomcat.

Most pictures on this website I took myself, but because I started photographing aircraft in the late 1970s, I missed some of the history of many types. Some favourites were already very rare at that time, especially the piston-engined airliners. So I have added photographs from other sources.
Of course your favourites are not the same as mine. In the guestbook you can tell what yours are. I am very curious to know!
